I have Version 11.0.2.0 (based on Chromium 51.0.2704.84) installed and v11.0.3.0 has been released...normally when I select the "Check Update" option under the "Help Center" menu I always got one of two boxes pop up...it either was "No updates available" or it listed "New update available" and allowed me to install it.

Now with Version 11.0.2.0 (based on Chromium 51.0.2704.84) installed that option does nothing...I get neither of the two possible results..

Even though the Change log says the new update is for Korean language update I'm puzzled why the "Check" update does nothing.

Anyone know the reason for this non-response??

Same goes here on 3 machines. English! Two 64bit ans One 32bit.

I downloaded the full Version 11.0.4.0 (based on Chromium 51.0.2704.84) and manually installed it on top of the version not performing "Check Update" and that function now works properly..

Installing the new version on top of the older one worked fine...no settings or bookmarks, etc. was disturbed...all looks good with the new version...try that...

OK, I think I broke the code to tell when a new update has been released...when you use the "Help Center"/Check update if it does not return with "No newer version" message that means a new update has been released, and the web-updater does not work...I just download the full new version and install it on top of current version...everything works fine and no data/settings are changed from your previous version.

This morning I did the "Check Update" and nothing happened...no message back...so, I went to the download site and sure enough, Version 11.0.5.0 (based on Chromium 51.0.2704.84) was available..

This is all that's in the change log:

- Fix startup issue under Fedora
- Fix crash at startup when tab unloading option is enabled under Linux.

And, of course, the "Check for updates" now returns the message "No newer version is available"...

This is exactly my experience with at least the last 3 versions.

I'm using that version and I just checked and got the "No newer version available" pop-up, so it's working for me...

It works for me up until a new update comes out and then I get nothing as a response to checking for an update. That's when I know to go to the Product page and download it manually.

I use Slimjet at home, and the portable version at work.

I found that the updater was not working and updated manually.
I found that my home ISP is blocking the updater and the web installer and the download, although I can reach the website OK
I downloaded the update from a mirror server, but when installed check update did nothing
My ISP is the largest one in Australia

When I downloaded and installed the new portable version at work, no problem with the download and the updater correctly reported no new version
