I have Slimjet installed on three Windows XP SP3 computers. Starting with version 10.0.1 and including 10.0.6 Slimjet always at startup says "Restore pages?" and "Slimjet didn't shut down correctly." It then also displays a "Send crash report" Pop-Up that says "Slimjet crashed during the last session. Would you like to send the crash report?" etc. etc. After closing these, Slimjet works fine and when closing Slimjet it appears to close normally. There is no indication of any problem. Then when one opens Slimjet again it repeats the "Restore pages?" etc.etc. This happens every time Slimjet is opened. This occurs on two different XP Home SP3 computers and also on an XP Pro SP3 computer. Slimjet 10.0.6 works fine on a Windows 8.1 computer. My solution currently is to go back to Slimjet 9.0.7. That works just fine.
Does anyone have a suggested solution for the XP machines? (I did send in a "crash report" one time.)
Slimjet says it didn't shut down correctly on XP
Re: Slimjet says it didn't shut down correctly on XP
First, in Slimjet Settings, under 'On startup', be sure 'Open the New Tab page' is checked. Uncheck 'Do not load backround tabs when restoring tabs in last session'. If that doesn't work, find 'Reset settings' and click on that. Last option, rename Slimjet Default folder. XP is old with major security flaws. You should upgrade to something more modern, maybe a linux distro your old pc's can handle.
