WebRTC allows communication capabilities to web browsers via JavaScript, in other words fingerprinting of your system it also leaks your IP address.
Go here to see https://www.browserleaks.com/webrtc
Install this https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... lcadhfbkdm to prevent it, this is the only way to block these leaks as while Firefox users can toggle a preference to disable WebRTC in the browser, Chrome users cannot disable it natively.

Does it really work? I have a lot of extensions already and I don't need an unnecessary one.

Check the link https://www.browserleaks.com/webrtc before install and then after.

You should try out ublock https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... phjbkeiagm better blocking and leaner than adblock+ etc plus the filter list are already there no looking around the web for them

I did have ublock and ghostery running together but found with the right filters ublock blocked all i wanted to, so one less extension eating ram. Hard to get the right balance between over blocking and under blocking nowadays i think i just like websites without ads plastered over them more than who is tracking me.

Disconnect removes the ads/tracking ads faster then Ublock, it's pretty light. Though it shows more mix content on pages and sometimes interferes with legitimate process/operations. Ublock on the other hand is tad bit slower and uses way more memory, but it can be reduced by disabling the ones we don't need.

Don't know what to pick!???
