Some months back, an Opera developer actually asked on the blog me why tab placement is important, which says a lot about the difference in quality between new version and old version staff. Seems odd to have to explain to a developer that since on the classical Windows desktop the taskbar is typically at the bottom, it makes sense to allow users to put the browser tab bar there too. Plus, for those of us concerned about biomechanical longevity, the less mouse movement the better for one's wrist and shoulder... I hope Slimjet's developers are listening.
