It will not be removable, but when it comes out, the way to disable it will be to disable "Ok Google" in settings:

At this time, our version of Chromium does not have this setting, or presumably, the extension/plugin or whatever it is.

Slimjet is still based on Chromium 42 at this point and doesn't support the hot word detection. We will not upgrade to Chromium 43. We will wait until Chromium 44 and then sync the engine. I believe by that time, hot word detection will be removed from Chromium source code already. So, we Slimjet users have nothing to worry about.
