I've had to disable httpsEverywhere. When it's active, any website I try to reach just hangs while trying to access httpsEverywhere. I'm on W10 with Slimjet 14.0.15.0. My other extensions are ChromeIPass 2.8.1, cVim 1.2.89, Privacy Badger 2017.6.13.1, and uBlock Origin 1.13.2.
I have no problems with the exact same setup on the base Chromium 61.0.3138.0
I know there was an issue last year with XP. Now there's a problem with W10, and someone on the extension forum has the same problem with Linux Mint. So there's clearly some kind of conflict going on between Slimjet and httpsEverywhere that needs to be figured out and resolved.

Re: https Everywhere conflict
The Slimjet people cannot rewrite the https everywhere code to correct problems interacting with Slimjet. This problem is far more likely able to be resolved by the programmers writing the https everywhere extension. You will have better results if you comment this to https everywhere.
If I'm reading the information correctly the https everywhere extension is still in beta for chrome which means, being still in development stage, they will likely be more willing to adapt it to other chrome based browsers such as Slimjet if it is brought to their attention.
