Import bookmarks from Chromium

Post by brashley46 »

I have been using Chromium on my Gnu/Linux box (running Xubuntu 16.04 LTS) and decided to try Slimjet as Chromium is a resource hog. Now that I have tried it, I like it ... how can I now transfer my Chromium bookmarks to Slimjet?

Try this

• click the gear settings icon at the upper right corner
• hover the mouse over Bookmarks to open the associated sub-menu
• click the selection, "Import bookmarks and settings"

as long as chrome is installed to the same user account you should be able to find the selection to import from chrome in the drop down box of possible import origins

Ah, that worked! I had not thought to try that since I have Chromium, not Chrome, installed. Thank you! :D

Yes, I did the same thing because I still have Chrome installed...it imported all my bookmarks but did not import my login names and passwords from Chrome.

The only other issue I have is when I click on the "Sign in to Slimjet" it does nothing, so syncing my browser settings is not possible,
