how to have TWAIN, EiD protocol support?

1) I have Fujitsu document scanners and other scanners which only work with TWAIN protocol. I have used Python, Java, NodeJS to make them work and it works only with TWAIN protocol support. But how to get the TWAIN protocol support as builtin using SlimJet extensions method?

2) how to read ID card using SlimJet? (European national id card readers are USB, i have used Java to make it work but is there anyway to do it natively from SlimJet)

This is uncertain territory for me. But perhaps the TWAIN protocol is present but not allowed?
