Slow startup

Post by Sandal23 »

Hi,

I use both standard and portable Slimjet. I notice that Slimjet portable startup is faster.
Is it a my pc issue or can you improve Slimjet standard startup speed?

No, it's like that with me too. But I recommend trying Speedyfox or Boost.

FYI, Boost is safe, reliable and it's from the creators of "Should I Remove It" website/program

Well to rule out any foul play, I would first run a quick virus/malware scan. Then I would clear my cookies (history) in Slimjet to have a fresh and clean start at startup. But if that doesn't resolve your issue (slow startup) you could always give CCleaner a go. And if none of those work, you might try speedyfox, if not already used. How it works????

It's design to defrag and compress files/docs for a smaller size of Slimjets download/.exe folder so it can run/startup faster. To run it, you just open it, hit the button optimize and it does the rest. For more info, please click Link: http://www.crystalidea.com/more-about-speedyfox

That's kind of weird. Unless your regular profile folder sits on a slower drive. The regular profile folder usually sits on your system drive. Do you have portable version on the system drive as well or another drive? It might also depends on on which drive your system page file is located. If your cache folder and your system page file sits on the same drive, that might slow down I/O access a little bit.

In 1.2.0, we have added an option for you to relocate the cache folder to anywhere you want.

Profile folder sits on the same drive (ssd). Cache is relocated on a ramdisk so cache folder and system page file doesn't sit on the same drive.
However I tried speedyfox and it help me to have a faster startup.
Where can I download Slimjet 1.2.0?
