Slimjet 5.0.10 on 64 bits crash & unusable on Windows 10

Post by sweetpeas »

Hello, I've test on Linux side it's run pretty fine both x86 & x64

But I'm also Windows insider as well so I've test on Windows 10 it seems to crash on build 10547
with message "it's dead jim". This only happen on 64 bits.
While Slimjet 32 bits seems to run just fine.
I'm not sure what's the cause hope you find the solution fix the 64 bits version on Windows 10.

Chrome used to crash both x86/x64 on Windows 10 build 10525 before now it's already fixed in Windows 10 build 10547 .

if you haven't done so, and if there is a crash report, it would be helpful if that were sent in to Flashpeak

on my box I find the crash reports here

C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Slimjet\User Data\Crash Reports

Thank you for guiding the path I'll report over there as well next time. ;)

I don't know why having fun a lot about testing many free &
open source softwares for Windows 10 insider builds & Xubuntu.

I've tried install 5.0.10 again it still crash it's dead jim evening settings cannot be click.
It can seems to click to able to access anything so I the report bugs button cannot be click.
Right now I only report from a popup feedback webpage after unistall.

I suggest flash pepper on Slimjet 64 on Windows need to be turn off by default.
or change the chromium version. There is something to do with flash or Chromium version.

Linux installations are somewhat problematic and I have very little experience with them. I cannot offer more help. Someone else would need to step in at this point.
