Chrome 45 was the main reason of me moving to SlimJet as V45 messed up all of my plugins - including Quicktime, Google Talk among others.

Hope we keep NPAPI support here :)

I've got an idea, how about make a two split installers on the website for

1. 44.x:
For those who want to keep NPAPI
2. 45.x & newer:
For those who want the secure fixed old bugs from 44.x
Who know what future holds new Chrome may find solutions.

So the users can decide which to run.

Maybe a better idea would be to grab the NPAPI code from the Chrome 44.x version of SlimJet, and integrate it into the 45.x and newer builds, so that all SlimJet builds keep NPAPI support?

Hold on a minute with these updates please.

I am sure that Flashpeak are looking into ways in which this can be implemented.

Please take note here:

Is it really so difficult to listen to reason?

Not instantly updating or skipping versions does not harm your security in a critical way and you avoid versions which have massive breakages!

How about letting the Slimjet team decide when and to what it will update? They should know best what versions fit best for their browser plans!

Totally agree with you here - what we don't want are releases that have been sent out quickly without testing - as that will almost certainly result in a broken browser.

And of course the Slimjet team have got to make sure that the new releases work correctly without losing or breaking features. A prime example being Chromium 45 which breaks NPAPI. The Slimjet team have already said that they want to support npapi for as long as possible. Hence the SJ team have got to get Chromium 45 working well before they can release it.
