Extensions Failing to Install Download error: Image decode failed

Post by Wolverine1977 »

Just reinstalled Slimjet on my PC and after signing in I noticed my extensions weren't downloaded and present.
When I go to the Chrome store and try to install any extensions I get Download error: Image decode failed.
I'm not able to install or use any extensions.
SlimJet Version: 45.0.1.0
Download error: Image decode failed

Any assistance would be appreciated
Thanks

a quick google search I have these suggestions

• Check that your date/time is correct
• If you customarily use a VPN make sure that is turned on

Mostly my replies are about Windows OS. If not I try to remember to specify Linux.

Also checked those settings and still getting the error. Chrome and Edge update fine and install, just an issue in SlimJet?

I would next download the offline installer for your installation and do a uninstall / re-install.

check your google account settings perhaps you have something toggled off/on that should be the other way?

Checked my google account and then toggled extensions off then on and synched. Extensions do not download from my profile or the webstore.
Chrome works with no issues. Tried uninstalling again and clearing all settings but issue persists.
This is driving me crazy.

Chrome and Edge download extensions with no issues, nothing blocked in firewall.

Possibly a profile error. After that I'm out of useful thoughts.
