Slimjet Audio playback clicking

Post by laurenceharker »

The last couple of versions of Slimjet seem to have introduced a problem for audio playback through the browser on my setup. When I play youtube videos, or any streaming service the audio will start clicking at me repeatedly. Switching my settings from Dolby atmos or windows sonic to off and then back seems to fix it, but as soon as an advert plays the clicking returns. Also stopping playback and starting again causes the clicking to start. This happens in speaker or headphone audio mode.

I don't get this problem with other browsers like chrome, edge, or duck duck go, it just seems to be slimjet. I had hoped a prior update would fix this, and that someone else had raised it, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I am using an Alienware x17 r2 on Windows 11, and have Version 44.0.6.0 of the browser installed.

Thanks,

Laurence
