... though - very strange - 44.0.5.0 (Linux) seems to be working OK now.

Re: Suddely keeps crashing without any changes
The major crashing bug did not come from a Slimjet version upgrade but from something else activated by web components... since everyone started having the same issue about 1 week ago, on different versions, without having upgraded before, regardless of Windows or Linux OS. My guess is it has to do with login pages/components... or session storage or something.
But it happens only in Slimjet, not other browsers, not even Chromium-based browsers... unless they're still on older Chromium versions like Slimjet (126 max, whereas current Chromium version is 132, Thorium uses Chromium 128 currently and has no issue, etc.)
So the issue is definitely in Slimjet, but caused/reacting to something on the web...

Re: Suddely keeps crashing without any changes
I had this problem as well. The problem appears to be Windows 10 no longer accepting the Slimjet (SJ) Certificate. I was able to get around this as follows:
1. Un-install the current version of SJ.
2. Using a different browser, download the 32-bit full installer from https://www.slimjet.com/en/dlpage.php.
3. Re-boot your PC.
4. Run the downloaded sjsetup_x86.exe file as admin.
5. You should see a Win 10 popup window indicating the Certificate is not recognized. Choose to accept it anyway.
6. Once installed, run SJ and delete all of your history files (not passwords and browser links).
Slimjet should now be stable on your Windows 10 or 11 computer.

Still crashing for me on Linux. I'm staying with Thorium, it seems Slimjet has abandoned me after ten great years.James Quadrat wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 8:46 am... though - very strange - 44.0.5.0 (Linux) seems to be working OK now.
Not everyone is a genius like you; treat them accordingly.

44.0.5.0 (Linux) has been working perfectly for me for three or four days now.
Re: Suddely keeps crashing without any changes
No crashes so far with 44.0.6.0 on Windows 10 either, just the strange random crash report note at every first browser start of the day.

Re: Suddely keeps crashing without any changes
Just wanted to report that on my linux, it almost appears to depend on which account I'm signed into now.
Last week it didn't matter which google account I was signed into, but now it appears my work account is crashing but personal not so much.
Of course, now that I've said that after it crashing 3 times...it's been stable for about 2 hours
