Play Video

Post by Mr. Bryan »

One of the video formats I would like to watch is .MOV, which is from the Apple stable. I have QuickTime installed, but but doesn't want to run on Slimjet..how can I get it to run when clicking a link for a .MOV file?
Thanks

Sounds like your not sure on how to install the plugin because quicktime is not recognizing your install of Slimjet (a common problem of less well known browser's) So This page will install the plugin, saving you from re installing quicktime. http://mac.sillydog.org/qt/mov/embed_s3.php

I've installed the latest version of Quicktime, and although the plug-in is in my backup browsers (Firefox & Opera), it doesn't appear in the 'chrome://plugins/' page (see attached file)..so my question still remains - how to get a plug-in for Slimjet? I've followed all the pages suggested in the two replies..but both just want to install Quicktime again. I've uninstalled & reinstalled Qucktime with no effect. So, is there a manual method to perform the function, that Quicktime is expected to do, but doesn't?

Make sure your using the 32bit version of slimjet as quicktime don't do a 64bit plugin. Try a older version of quicktime as quite a few people are saying the newer version doesn't work in chrome (http://www.filehippo.com/download_quicktime_player/).
Try dragging the npqtplugin.dll into C:\Program Files (x86)\Slimjet folder ??
Do a fresh install of slimjet or slimjet://settings Repair browser registry settings then install quicktime
