When new version autoupdated it hiccuped and told me i had to remove a temp folder. I couldn't find damn thing, so just rebooted.
Now "About" tells me the update installed ok despite not deleting folder.
Swell, only new version looks like old version- still based on same old (9 month old!) Chromium 88, far behind the newest version, 94.
Bit dismaying and confusing, that. Can you explain?
Ungrateful bastard
PS: while i'm here, just wanted to say that while i like SJ's mass downloader, and small speed edge, Firefox's customizability (for instance: text and background color picker) is a big deal to me. Making SJ greener would also help (e.g. suspending old tabs to cut ram/cpu use).

If you no longer want to use a tab, why not just close it?

Go to settings and look under Memory Management

Um, yes, I did actually. I should've given more detail probably. Even with Memory Management on, my Task Manager shows about 20 process entries for 4 tabs and similar RAM and CPU usage per tab.
But it's the same for Firefox, so maybe i'm not recognizing the difference. Perhaps you could educate us? Because, right now, i see no difference. For instance, what % more RAM should be freed up?
Thanks.

Tabs are handy reminders of subjects one wants to return to.

Sir- I do hate to be contentious but your reply was simply an (ungrammatical!) repetition of my statement. You added nothing.
(4 tabs, 20 process Task Manager entries, yes that's just what i said).
