Clicking on a Google Search Result Not Going to Correct Page

This happens every time I run a Google search for something specific, if I click on a result, it only takes me to the home page of whatever site the result was from, not he actual page I needed. For example.... I search for a specific product and the results bring up hits from Home Depot, Amazon, etc. If I click on the link for, say, Amazon, it takes me to Amazon's home page, not the product page that I was actually trying to get to.

This problem is consistent. It happens every single time I run a product search. I'd be better off just going to the sites individually one by one and running a search there for all the good it's doing me now to use Google. Kind of makes Google searches pointless.
