A new version every week?

Post by Anonymosity »

What is going on with Slimjet? Why so many new versions so frequently?

A series of minor updates after the introduction of a new feature is not uncommon.

From the What's New page

26.0.5.0 (5/1/20)
Add support for side tab bar. Right click on any tab and select "Side Tab Bar:Enable Tab Bar" to enable the feature. Learn more about side tab bar

Updated me twice for the last update 26.0.8.0

Something flaky going on?

Not exactly the same as your OP

Slimjet has a history of issues with the automatic update system. It does not always work correctly. I don't bother with it anymore.

Why do we need a side tab bar? If you pull down the Tab menu, you can see a list of your tabs there, with no cutoff of the ends.

I agree 100%. I don't use it and I won't use it.
