dear all user of Slim jet!

1- first: there are 3 type of slow down (define)
type A: page load slower.
type B: respond time after you click on a link.
type C: start up speed longer / or CPU higher on start up.

2- second you need this extension : SimpleExtManager
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... gbllnfkfdk

this extension can help you quickly disable one by one extensions in your colections.

3- How to do: disable all, now you will see the original speed of Slim jet. (click on some links)
then you enable one by one extension, then click on some links again.
Forcus on your respond time after you click a link.
you will see which extension make your respond time longer.-> disable it .
(that why we need the build in extension like Slimjet have : ex : mouse gesture, drap n drop, auto fill..)

this base on your device 's speed , my pc is not so fast, so i can easily regconize the change of speed.

hope this can help you know why Slimjet slow down day by day . That dependence of your extensions collection.

So its based on your sole experience of particular extensions you have used on a low end machine without giving us any specs like internet speed, by how much a page slows down etc etc. We all pretty much know that if use any type of extension it will slow down any browser but if a extension is only causing say a few milliseconds delay in a page opening on a high end machine i would be more inclined to keep the benefits of the extension rather than a barely noticeably quicker page load.
Inbuilt extensions do have their place in any browser but they can also be a big bane to users if there is no option to switch them off, i've seen a lot of browsers with inbuilt ad blockers which don't give the users any choice of filter lists etc which then pretty much renders the browser useless.

Dear Dev!

Let try this first, you will know what the mili seconds is !

extension: care-your-eyes
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... epmbdamlhl

now you click on 3 links in 3 seconds. your browser is not load smoothly like before!
click n wait then click and wait
hey..

care-your-eyes is the must have funtion of me. so i must use it to protect my eyes from the white light website.
although i know it will slow down my Slim Jet.

if you have 3 or 4 wrong extensions like this. Slimjet just like the mess chromium fork!
so i make this topic to alert the user : it time to test their extension carefully!
That all.

Loading smoothly or back to IE explorer.

Your not getting the point i'm making, this thread is to blacklist extensions on your user experience which does not provide enough information for me to be able to justify any action taken on any particular extension. For a start off I would like to see feedback from extension developer's to any extension you say slows down your browser, it would also be good to see actually page loading times or ram usage etc.
I'm not doubting your words that extensions slow down a browser its a well known fact but just to say delete this extension then install this extension is a bit vague too me. The fact the thread says black list extensions is a bit misleading and is false in what it implies.

I changed the OP to indicate that it is based on personal experience. That is sufficient for users to make a decision taking into account the source of the data.

Dear dev
i have made the comparison data for us.
let see the images below.

How to testing:

1- i use this extension to measure the page load time:
extension page-load-time.crx
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... goaohcdbig

2-testing format :
Group A - original speed of SlimJet: clear cache + disable all extension + open 6 links in one tab
Group B - Slimjet with Comodo_media_downloader.crx (see in the download link) : clear cache + "Comodo_media_downloader" extension + open again the 6 links in one tab

Now we have the comparison data Group A vs Group B. (i used the average value)
As you see, with Comodo_media_downloader extension, content load time: +58%
No smooth anymore, bad for Slimjet speed !
we should enable it only when we need to use. That All. Comodo_media_downloader is the slowdown extension.

vs data

Simple extension manager causes problems where suddenly your extensions stop working. I've tried it several times because it's a great concept but I always end up removing it for the same reason - other extensions stop working.
