Is it possible to turn off the new QR code feature?

I have not noticed any bar codes on pages. Where do you see that?

In the URL box and on some drop down menus you now have the option of turning any URL into a QR code.
I don't think it's one of those things that will cause problems, but I'd like to turn it off or at least know how.
Perhaps one of the 'flags' setting?
