Saving to MHTML

Post by JosephWebber »

I want to save pages to mhtml, so I set the dialog box filetype to mhtml.
The problem is that the filename shows Fname.html.
This would not be a problem if the end result was Fname.html.mhtml, but it actually saves as Fname.html.
To avoid this I have to delete the .html from the filename every time I save.
Can this be fixed so that I don't have to do this every time or is there another solution?
Many thanks.

I am not reproducing this.

When I Save the webpage and switch the file type to mhtml, the text box for naming the file automatically switches to xxx.mhtml

reading the google search results this appears to be a known chromium browser engine bug. One person, in another forum said they just click on the file name and added the m before html making it mhtml and it successfully created files that would open without any issues.

I didn't see a reliable solution to actually fix it. Will have to wait for the chromium team to take care of it.
