Lock Pinned Tab

Post by roland toth »

A feature to lock pinned tab would be great. Chrome had this in the beginning but they removed because "it was confusing an unintuitive for too many users".
If this feature would be optional then I guess it won't be "unintuitive".

Confuse what it really does, please explain better. It might be useful.

When pinning a tab, it could be locked too, meaning you cannot close it accidentally. First the user would need to unlock it and then will be able to close.

Another solution is to ask the user if he really would like to close the tab if it is locked.

Ok that sounds like a good implement for Slimjet. Well my opinion anyways, the final answer is left to FlashPeak.

Great, thanks!

The old Opera had this feature but currently no major browser supports this.
Chrome and Firefox has addons to do that, however, in Chrome they weren't working.
