Disable Autorefresh current tab

I looked for this topic and couldn't find it.
Is there any way to stop page autorefresh on active tab? It's very annoying when you're reading a newspaper that refreshes it's page every 2-3 minutes, or watching a news video and it is interrupted and reseted by the page refreshing.
I used to browse the internet with Maxthon 2 witch had this feature. Not anymore, and it's an important one.
