You must click 'make default' for every 'other search engine'. This will move it up to the standard search engines.

This doesn't work properly in the newest version of Slimjet (14.0.0.). When adding one search engine ("Make default"), one simultaneously disappears from the standard engines; so as I happened to delete two of the standard engines, I now can't have more than two engines at one time, whichever they were. Is there any way to correct this?

I use this feature a lot. Try making the search into a template using %s where the search term gets plugged in, and adding a keyword for each search engine. For example, I type in 'go' for a Google search, 'ga' for an ASSTR search, 'gl' for Literotica, etc. on the address bar.

The Custom Right-Click Menu extension is also helpful, but can be a little tricky to figure out (create menu items for the search URLs you use a lot):

I'm having somewhat of a problem getting StartPage configured. I followed the instructions listed on the StartPage site, but it didn't work as expected. In the configuration section of SlimJet I added: https://www.startpage.com/?q=%s

When I enter a search term, instead of parsing the search term, SlimJet just displays the StartPage home page. Then I have to copy and paste the search request from the toolbar, into the StartPage home page.

Being a new user to SlimJet, I could have missed something in the configuration options. But I searched for a solution but couldn't locate one. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

For Startpage use https://www.startpage.com/do/asearch?q=%s

or with params eg.: black, 20 results, no filtering.

Code: Select all
