Issue with automatic updater in 19.0.3

We have a bug with automatic updater in 19.0.3. When you were trying to update to 19.0.3 from an earlier version, the Slimjet Updater process (updater.exe) will be stuck forever. You need kill updater.exe from task manager and manually remove the update folder %appdata%\..\local\slimjet\user_data\update_x86 or %appdata%\..\local\slimjet\user_data\update_x64 depending on the bits of your slimjet installations. After that, check update again and update to 19.0.4 or later and it should work fine.

If the issue was in 19.0.3....(since the first post notes "We have a bug with automatic updater in 19.0.3.").

and 19.0.4 fixes it...

we won't know till next version 19.0.5.....

ps - why is that possible fix not mentioned in "what's new"/version history? i don't see it in 19.0.4 or .3

It was not a Slimjet browser bug. The bug was in the program used for performing the automatic update. Any changes made would have been to the updater program not Slimjet. Therefore the Slimjet version number does not need to increase for the problem to have been corrected...

... and it has nothing to do with Slimjet itself so it would not be reflected in What's New which is solely about Slimjet. Also, just so you know in case your watching What's New closely. The developers do not include every little thing they do in the What's New. They typically only include GUI changes or mention of bug fixes to Slimjet which would be noticed by the user.

sj failed to update me (had .0.4.0). I just for curiosity tried a manual update and it surprised me that it updated to .0.5.0

i verified i have

auto check newer version = every run
get notified of pre-releases = on
