Slimjet will not start

On one of my Win10 computers, Slimjet will not start. It runs just fine on the others. The event log entry says:

Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Slimjet\slimjet.exe". Dependent Assembly 7.0.8.0,language="*",type="win32",version="7.0.8.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

I gather that this is the result of some disagreement between Slimjet and a MS system like Visual-C or Net. Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind---version 8 works.
