Haven't figured out the CPU issue in v30 either (thru 0.3). Sometimes it's fine, but when it goes into "CPU mode" I don't know how to get it out. Even restarting Slimjet doesn't do it. It just decides on its own.

Update: Picking up on a cue from an earlier post, the trigger may be Youtube (could be other video sites in general, I don't know yet). Once that happens, then the problem continues everywhere, but if you delete your Youtube cookies the problem ceases...for a while. I have no idea how cookies(!) could lead to such a problem, but it seems to be the case.

It's about a solid 33% on my quad-core (Win10).

I have found the same thing. Goes to 48 % and stays there, even if you go to another site (https://www.slimjet.com/en/whatisnew.php). Also, apparently, it's random. I know something's wrong when the laptop fan doesn't stop.
Without leaving the browser, deleting youtube cookies, goes to normal.
Leave to the experts to find the reason.

Just checked. YouTube is not playing nice, and I didn't notice because of my ad blocker.

Note: Also script domain doubleclick.net being blocked

Slimjet using 50% CPU only going to YouTube, not playing anything. And it's random. Deleting YouTube cookies, goes to 1% not playing anything, 1.9% playing video.

By the way stopped using it until somebody fix this.

I have reverted to version 29 (see that thread for details) though not over this issue.

I think they rolled 30 out too quickly with not enough beta testing.
All manner of things that worked before got broken.

Since it seems like it's going to be up to us to figure this out, I think when it happens next time I'll look through the YT cookies to see if anything jumps out. Assuming it's one line in one of the YT cookies causing the problem, I'm wondering if editing the problem cookie (in some way) would workaround the problem (anything beats reflexively deleting them each time).

30.0.4.0 is out, but no unlisted fix for this issue. Maybe next time.

Slimjet 30.0.4.0 using more than 50% CPU in Youtube. Deleting YT cookies fixes the problem. If you don´t delete them it continues in other sites in more than 50% until you delete them. I´ve also noticed that it´s random, but the randomness is very little. I´ve tried other sites: Metacafe, Dailymotion, Utreon with no problem.

That's notable because the playing of videos is not even involved.
