I had the same issue with the CAPTCHA on eBay, and solved it for me:
as in many similar cases, the solution was to add ebay.com to the list of exceptions to the HTML5 Canvas element block in the Settings.

Brilliant! I've had to use Edge to access my eBay account for months. I added ebay.co.uk to the list of exceptions as advised and I can now access eBay with my favourite browser once again. Many thanks!
