I want to first thank you for providing this excellent browser. This is the main browser that I use every day. I also highly recommend this browser to everyone including in the Linux Mint forums.
Although I have read that you think you have resolved the Linux installation problem with dependencies, I am still having major dependency issues trying to install your current Linux deb file on my system where it wants to remove many of the installed software packages I do not want to be removed.
I think this is because your installation wants to use the "curl3" dependency when newer Linux systems are using the "curl4" package. This might be an easy fix if you change the source code to simply use greater than or equal ">=" on all of the supporting dependencies like the "libcurl" (curl) package dependency.
As a result of not being able to install Slimjet using its Linux deb file, I have been using your Slimjet Linux archive file option which works well, except that it does not have an option to update itself through the Help menu or elsewhere like Waterfox browser or Tor Browser and some other Linux application archive files do. This requires me to download any new version of the Slimjet Linux archive file, extract it, and replace the previous Slimjet folder with the new one and then I lose all my browser passwords which is very inconvenient (really need a password export feature) or be included in the existing syncing options.
