a few problems with slimjet

Thank you for Slimjet.
Running Windows 7 pro 64-bit
Linux mint 17.3 Rosa 64-bit
This is a dual boot situation.
Could this dual boot be causing some of my problems?????

The Slimjet settings keep changing. I see no way to save the changes
that I make in the settings.
Also my homepage in Windows gets wiped out (dailyoverlook) and the slimjet home
page is substituted.

Why do I have to sign on to Gmail to set my Slimjet settings?
If I disconnect from Gmail what does that do?????
Obviously I don't know what I am doing

Usually, if you sign into your Google account, you can sync all your bookmarks, extensions etc.
You have the choice to sync the things you want in settings.

If you didn't sync on Linux then it won't be saved when log into Windows (or wherever you are).
