Strange Slimjet issues

I just upgraded to Slimjet 4.0.12.0. Now I'm having strange issues I never had before. Sometimes Slimjet freezes and won't respond at all or only responds after a very long time. Sometimes it resets, forcing me to repeat all my logins. A really annoying thing is it keeps repeating a download I did a few days ago. I can't get rid of it. Every time I restart Slimjet it downloads the same bloody file again. I have dozens of copies. How can I turn it off? Help, please.

If the install is interrupted or corrupted there can be strange issues with the browser. I suggest un-install the browser, download/install the most recent version, be careful through the entire install not to do anything else, don't even close the folder the install is saved at, give the "Finish" button a click at the end and wait for a slow count of 5 or so for it to clean up.
