missing "read later" tabs

Post by fallen193 »

After last update (I think) to version 36.0.2.0, "read later" folder and ability to add sites to them disappeared. Have you remove this feature ? I don't see this in a changelog. Can I restore my sites from this folder? Tabs are just gone. I searched all the tabs but didn't find them. I had a lot of them in this folder :(

I am not familiar with this feature.
Could you describe in more detail what you were doing?

Thanks.

Maybe my translation of the function name was wrong.
This feature is described in this topic -> viewtopic.php?t=3045
The last thing I did with the browser settings, before I noticed feature disappear, was to update to the current version.
Yesterday I also found a "relic" from a removed feature. By right-clicking on the browser card, I can choose "Add tab to reading list" option. But the browser doesn't have this "reading list". And I don't see the possibility of turning it on. There is no such option in the view settings, in the browser settings, or in slimjet flags.

OK now I know what's up, though not the solution.

My guess is some sort of flag needs to be set. Anyone else out there?

I have the same problem. Its better if Slimjet allows the side panel functionality like chrome which contains bookmarks, reading list and journeys.

We disabled the chromium side panel since it is duplicate with our own implementation of bookmark side panel. But the reading list is disabled together with that. We will find a way to bring back the reading list if it's a critical feature for users.

Gone again in version 38 :?
No way to get the old behavior back.
Only solution is to press Ctrl-I (show side panel) and use Reading List from here.

If you do not want to press Ctrl-I, you can Customize your toolbar, and add the "Side Panel" icon which will toggle the side panel open and closed
