4.0.0.0 wiped out my plugins

After installing the update this morning, a .pdf link would not display. SJ asked me to right click the page to enable the chrome pdf player. I reinstalled Sumatra, my go-to .pdf viewer, and no change. chrome://plugins shows only maybe 8 entries, whereas it used to have maybe 20. I suppose the plugins are still there but are not being recognized, but I'm not sure.

I have 4 plugins showing pepperflash, widevine, chrome pdf and the native client where before i had at least 10. I think it may be that chrome have killed npapi by default ?

Edit: yeah i was right type or copy/paste to address bar chrome://flags/#enable-npapi then enable then scroll to bottom relaunch and hey presto your plugins should be back.

Ok, thanks very much.

I now have 10 plugins, whereas I had five this morning. But I'm still missing probably another 10, including the Sumatra pdf plugin whose absence tipped me off to this problem.

Reinstall didn't bring Sumatra back.

Yes, after I reenabled.

Thank you, that page explained everything. I installed Sumatra 2.52, then upgraded to 3.0, and it seems to be back in order. I don't know what else I lost, but so be it.

Thanks much,
Paul
