What about SlimJet browser?

I found a recommendation for SlimJet as an alternate browser on Slant.co and by checking their website it seems like a worthy contender in the browser market.
The browser is based on Chromium but don't send usage data to Google. They have tracking prevention options, ad blocker, multiple connection download manager, bookmark syncing, customizable toolbar and tabs, youtube video downloader, and many other features built in.
They also have a portable version, which I'm test-driving now. I'm curious why it seems like a virtual unknown option even though it's actively being developed.
Anyone has experience with this project?
