Increased RAM usage since last updates?

I'm using Slimjet Version 23.0.11.0 (based on Chromium 74.0.3729.108) (Official Build) (32-bit). This is on Windows 7. I upgraded sometime since about late July or early August. Since that time, my old computer has felt significantly slower, and I think a big reason is increased RAM usage by Slimjet.
For example, right now I only have one Slimjet window open and six tabs. Those tabs are: Craigslist, Gmail, Trello, a government web site with no images on it, this page, and the Slimjet settings page. But here is my RAM usage just for Slimjet:
202,676 (this is Gmail!)
25,084
6,232
15,984
1,400
784
9,628
2,864
15,196
57,648
82,836
2,028
25,184
42,920
10,496
16,124
412
1,728
53,100
-------------
Total: 369,648 K
Doesn't that seem like quite a lot for what I have open?
I really don't think it was doing this a few months ago before the upgrade. The only other thing I changed was putting The Great Suspender on as an extension, intending to make things much faster. It's possible that something changed in Gmail around this time, though.
Anyone else finding this?
I switched to Slimjet a couple of years ago purely for speed and lightweight RAM reasons and it's been awesome, but now I'm getting back to the old days of my computer locking up when I used Chrome or Firefox. What's going on?
