Post by Sandal23 »

I have a feature request
I'd like to save screenshot of the whole page even if it is a long page

Agreed. The ability to save a scrolled page would be most useful, as would screenshot buttons in the Customize toolbar options.

I agree. Something like Maxthon has. Very nice.

It was designed to be full page screenshot in an earlier version.
But the Chrome team took away an important internal api which makes taking a full page screenshot more difficult. For now, you can save it as pdf instead if you want to save everything. We will look into this issue later on.

Many thanks for the feedback, at least we know the situation.

Maxthon, which is based on Chromium, does it very nicely. And, unlike some browser extensions I've seen, it doesn't scroll down the page while saving. Saving is almost instant. I don't know how they do it.

Maxthon's core is WebKit not blink. Actually it is based on chromium, but not on Google's fork. I don't know however, how much Maxthon has changed in their code. Theoretically both cores should be identical, but in reality blink has millions of lines of code less.
