Slimjet for openSuse Leap 15.0

Post by BillLite »

I am trying to get Slimjet installed so it can actually be used in openSuse Leap15.0

<Why isn't there an 'install' script in the tarball? Why isn't there an RPM installer as wide spread as it is used!? Those tarballs are a mess to work with!>

I tried running the wrapper script as a non root user, and it would not do anything.

So I ran it 'sudo ./flashpeak-slimjet' , and all I get are "don't run this as root" messages.
I want to run it as root to check it out before the user(s) run it so problems have been taken care of to the best of my ability.
I think I need to run it as root in order to get it set up for the 'user(s)'.

The addition of '--no-sandbox' to the sudo ./flashpeak-slimjet command seems to break things even farther.

Hate using chrome, but..... it works!
