Still the same problem.Videos on youtube work most of all but Videos on newspaper sites do not play. I've tried with pop up blocker disabled, web trac disabled,html5 canvas disabled etc.Nothing that helps.Even videos on you p**n woul play.
For example last named site any video plays in edge with adblock enabled.
Hopefully there's asap a solution, for now, I do not see a solution other than the edge because I do not want to install an additional browser .

Seems to be working for some on below thread, so you might want to post there:

Same problem here,it's really annoying.
I'm on Linux Mint 18 (clean install, 64bit with XFCE). Youtube videos play just fine, but most videos on other sites (including dailymotion etc) don't play.
I really like slimjet but I have to turn on firefox for videos (they all play just fine there).
I played with settings with no luck. "slimjet://plugins" doesn't work either...
Before, I was with another laptop (mint 17/32bit) and I think most videos were OK.
Any idea???

I'm on Mint 18, 32 bit and videos play fine. Have you tried this?:

Same here. Either normal window or incognito window can play almost any video (no extension allowed in incognito window).
No youku.com video plays, but only a part of Youtube videos cannot play.

PS. There is already a libffmpeg.dylib under folder '/Applications/FlashPeak Slimjet.app/Contents/Versions/16.0.5.0/FlashPeak Slimjet Framework.framework/Libraries',
and https://www.youtube.com/html5 shows all video formats checked.

On Linux, I had to download the libffmpeg from above site & put it in a separate folder of its own. Maybe the same on Mac OS?

Though I don't think it makes sense, but I still tried put it into /usr/local/lib, and didn't help.

I put it in opt/slimjet/lib, create a lib folder if none already there. Works on Linux, dunno about Mac OS.
