If you look at an item page on ebay, you will be presented with an ad on the right side. A typical ad url would be:
http://tpc.googlesyndication.com/safefr ... w.ebay.com
If I use the built-in ad blocker to hit the ad, it works only until the next page load. Then the ad is back. Even if I use a wildcard, the ad always returns:
http://tpc.googlesyndication.com/safeframe*
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a failure of the blocker?
Ad blocker fail
Re: Ad blocker fail
I believe this is a limitation of the ad-blockers.
I have the SAME problems using any or all AD-BLOCKING add-on to Chrome or Firefox (Adblock Plus, Ghostery, or Abine's BLUR) separate or concurrently.
Even with uMatrix installed/running I can NOT get these pesky ads to go away.
Google wants their AD $$$.

Re: Ad blocker fail
Ublock Origin seems to nail it.
Re: Ad blocker fail
Mea culpa. I forgot that I had disabled the ad blocker on the ebay domain for some reason. Working now.
