Translator Widget

Hello community of SlimJet. I have a few small questions on the translator widget on SlimJet: what is the translator widget based on? What does it use to translate pages at once? Also, could I use the translator to translate links that I give it? Thank you in advance!

However, I'm certain it is not Google translator since when I ask it to translate a hefty page, it wouldn't do so, but when I ask SlimJet's Translating Service to translate the very same page, it would do it. How come SlimJet's Translator works on areas where Google Translator fails?
