why old pepperflash?

Post by sleeper10 »

Pepperflash is stuck on 21.0.0.213 on 32 bit. Should be 22.0.0.192 by now. Why no update?

So, is it just me stuck on an old pepperflash version or everyone using 32 bit? Either way, is there a way to update it?

If you have not done so. Check the pepperflash folder to see if it has the current version. Sometimes the client reports an older version while the up to date version is present.

I can't seem to open the libpepflashplayer.so to see the version. But, adobe site & slimjet://components say it's an old version. :(

I don't know if your running Windblows or Linux system. I use Windows. Under the user profile for Slimjet there is a pepperflash folder. Under that folder is another folder which has the current version as the name of the folder. Within the current version folder is the file pepflashplayer.dll, when I show properties under the Details Tab is the version of the dll.

it would also help if we knew which version of slimjet you're using :) just in case you're running a slightly older version of slimjet as slimjet devs tend to update pepper as they drop a update of the browser ?

I'm on Linux Mint 13 with 32 bit Slimjet version 10.0.6.0. I see a Slimjet folder that has a pepperflash folder. It has two files libpepflashplayer.so & manifest.json neither of which I can open. Properties doesn't show any version info. I was getting pepperflash updates for a time, but they stopped at 21.0.0.213 or so it seems.

Check out the following site:

http://www.beast-usa.com/downloads/brow ... wsers.html

In the lower right column there is a section on Slimjet and download links for both the 32bit and 64bit versions of the latest Pepperflash. This is totally legitimate and updating is easy to do.

That site says "for Windows versions only", I'm on Linux.
