enter google search not working

hi all recently i found that when i press enter google search is not working and just go down to the next line. pls help. other search engine no problem no problem at all. pls help. thanks

In Settings > Omnibox there is a list of search engines that the browser will use. If you click the 3-dots symbol next to Google it will make Google the default. I just tried that and it works. (My personal choice was Ecosia.) When I tried to make Brave the default in the list of added search engines, it disappeared from that list and got added to the usual browser list.
