32 or 64 bit Slimjet for Windows OS?

Post by oftentired »

Originally the developers have taken the position that you should continue to use the 32 unless your heart is set on the 64 as the improvement versus the RAM consumption does not make it worth the improvement. However, that said, recent updates to the chrome engine (Blink really) under the hood of all the chrome based browsers are supposed to have a significant security improvement regarding memory security. This is a very good reason to go ahead choose to use the 64 bit on your 64 bit system as long as you don't notice any issues from the additional RAM consumption. You will have to manually install the 64 bit version the first time. After that is should update for you automatically.
