try running the extended tests on whoer.net I think the browser is reporting java, but in reality it doesn't actually do anything with java requests in other words the quick test is saying there is a security deficiency related to java because the browser reports Java, but no security threat is poss...

I think the Blink engine has replaced that menu with the Settings drop down menu. If it existed, pressing the Alt key would reveal it.

Go to Settings and under the Sign In section look for, "Open a specific page or set of pages" and click the, "Set pages", set your desired start page there.
Also keep it set as the homepage. In Settings under new tab, checkmark that it opens the homepage.
