I suggest you turn off hardware acceleration for your entire PC.

I think your using the omnibox search engine. In the Slimjet settings there is a section for making changes to the omnibox search features. I think you should be able to use the first drop down button to select your default omnibox search engine which should resolve the issue after you change it to ...
