What do you mean by "the size of the search"? The number of results you get depends on what keywords you use and how frequently that set of keywords appears on pages.

The settings in the preferences are defaults, not overrides. Any font setting within the code for the page is going to be used. Only if there are no font settings for the page will those in the preferences be used. I believe the minimum font size is used, however.

Why is version 25.0.8.0 not available for MacOS? The page says that it is for that version, but the link downloads 25.0.7.0. Will 25.0.9.0 be available for MacOS? Maybe I have to wait for that?

If the option to change it exists, what is the problem?

I am no longer having the problem of parts of the address being hidden, but I cannot help but wonder why showing the prefix of the hostname is so bad. Is the protocol so evil that it is a terrible idea to display it?

You should be able to turn off the sorting by name, and see the bookmarks in their original order. Bookmarks saved as .html will append to the current bookmarks, so you do have to weed out the duplicates.
