The flash plugin is auto-updating. Flash 23 is not compatible with either XP or Vista. We need put in some code to disable the update of flash.

Probably if you remove the file biscripts/youtubevideo.jsc under the installation folder, that will remove the button.

Unfortunately, Slimjet doesn't come with h264 codec for linux platform due to patent issues.

"Can't load plugin" issue for XP and Vista users
The problem was caused by the fact that the latest version of flash plugin (flash 23) is no longer compatible with either XP or Vista. While Slimjet ships with flash 22, Slimjet was configured to update the flash plugins automatically. Therefore, the flash plugin will stop working once it is updated...

Type chrome://open_profile_folder into the address box to open the profile folder. After that, close Slimjet and remove the "Pepper Flash" folder under the profile folder. Then start Slimjet again. That should fix your problem.

We just found the web installer were always downloading Slimjet 10 intended for XP users. This issue has been fixed today. The web installer now points to the latest version of Slimjet 11.
