Re: ad blocker goes hyperbolic at Breitbart.com
I'm very pleased with the in-built. It's easy to use and catches most garbage - with the large exception of popovers. I'm sure the compiled code is much more efficient than a script, as well. I probably wouldn't be tempted to switch unless the popovers were a factor.

See attachment. This is from this morning. Pretty typical, and the numbers were increasing rapidly even after the screen shot.

Re: ad blocker goes hyperbolic at Breitbart.com
Sorry, I misspelled the link. I think it's right now.
Probably a coding problem at the site, which the inbuilt catches on. Will work around it for now.

ad blocker goes hyperbolic at Breitbart.com
I've been noticing for a while that the ad blocker keeps incrementing blocked ads upwards when viewing anything at http://www.breitbart.com. If the page is open for a few minutes, I'll have 700+ elements blocked, and it keeps going. With a few pages doing this, the browser gets very sluggish. The ad...

"Idle Tabs" setting causes profile corruption
After many weeks of stability, I enabled the setting to idle tabs, and set the threshold to 12. When I went to close the settings tab, the browser crashed and nothing would cause it to open again. Even a second profile would not open, which I don't yet understand. So I renamed the whole slimjet fold...

Re: Slimjet 10 Beta available
This is a really realy great news!!! I was about to accept the fact that when Slimjet moves to engine version 50+ is the end of Vista but more specifically Xp support but thankfully it isn't. Really great news to Xp users worldwide!!! I agree. There are still a lot of XP/Vista boxes out there, and ...

Re: Videos on Twitter don't play
No amount of clicking makes it work here, and now I'm seeing the problem on sites that post the twitter videos in their articles. Not a fan of FF, but Vivaldi is coming along nicely. Not nearly as good as SJ though, but it plays the videos perfectly. Seems very strange the lack of support here, but ...

Re: 9.0 Stable Release (9.0.2.0)
I went ahead and "reinstalled" the new 9.0.1, and ended up with 9.0.2. I'm attaching a screenshot showing the 9.0.1 designation, along with 9.0.2's new Firefox search box (which I have since deleted).

Re: 9.0 Stable Release (9.0.2.0)
Once again, the .deb package either has not been actually updated though its link has been, or the new package is mislabeled 9.0.1 so that linux will not install it.

Videos on Twitter don't play
Does anyone know how to get videos on Twitter.com to play? I usually get a "this browser does not support video playback" error written across the video frame. I think this is the case with many Chromium derivatives, including Opera. But the latest Vivaldi snapshot plays them with ease, an...
