My other Chromium browser, Vivaldi, does this as well. It is a frequent problem, and getting worse. I now use Firefox to access twitter for this reason.

[Feature Request] Keyboard Navigation on New Tab page
One big way to improve the new tab page (which isn't bad but has room for improvement), is to make the mouse unnecessary. Re: XP support will be dropped in Slimjet 12
Very decent policy, considering the situation. Sorry to see it, for the sake of a lot of older laptops. Conversion to Linux becomes even more advantageous.

Re: ad blocker goes hyperbolic at Breitbart.com
This seems to be largely resolved. Had to be a server-side problem. Thanks.

Re: Saved google searches
That's the browser history button. You can clear history when closing the browser. Setting to do so automatically is under Privacy.
But no one can see it unless they have access to your OS user account.

Re: Howto disable downloaded files toolbar?
I use "Your Downloads Box" extension. Excellent, and no need to click anything.

Re: ad blocker goes hyperbolic at Breitbart.com
Thanks for testing. Correction on firefox/ublock-origin: it's just as bad as SJ/inbuilt. I guess this is a site problem.
