Download the full version and install it on top of your existing version and all your settings will be the same...sometimes the "Check for updates" link does not work.

Re: Page not working
You may have a rouge extension that crept into SJ...try disabling all your extensions...also try it in incognito mode.

Re: Disable Security Alert?
I would think you would want to keep that alert active just in case someone actually does get your account sign-in info...This alert will allow you to take action if, in fact, you did not sign-in from that location...it's easier to select the option to recognize the new location if you sign-in from ...

Re: Facebook Menu Bar
Try using the SJ menu for settings and change your default zoom setting to 100%, else each time you reload SJ it will default back to your original setting...works for me and my default is 125% for my laptop screen display..

Re: SJ better than Chrome at protection from dangerous sites
WOT is still available for most all browsers here, including SJ and Chrome: https://www.mywot.com/ Warning screen. Safe web browsing with safety alerts. If you land on a site that has poor reputation based on user ratings, WOT shows you a warning. WOT guides you, but the final decision is yours: you...

Re: SJ better than Chrome at protection from dangerous sites
A reliable extension to install in SJ is the "Web-of-Trust" (WOT) add-on...it will warn you of risky sites and give you the option to go there anyway or abort going to that site.
Just go to the Chrome add-on site and look for WOT and let it install in SJ..

I can use the Copy/Paste method to "Upload" an image to the site I want to get that image...I just browse to that site and to the location on that site to "Paste" my image..

Re: Will Slimjet 13 support Vista like 12 does?
Unless something changes the last released version of SJ that supports Vista is Version 11.0.8.0 (based on Chromium 51.0.2704.84). I also use Vista and after that version was installed I get "No new version available" when I try to update SJ. If you manually downloaded and installed a late...

What version of Slimjet do you have installed on your XP system?
If it's later than Version 11.0.8.0 (based on Chromium 51.0.2704.84) then that may be your problem...that was the last version released that supports XP...
